Pewter is an alloy consisting of mostly tin and it is the fourth most precious metal.
It also has very small amounts of antimony and copper which is added
mainly for strength and/or colour.
A beautiful pewter plate embellished with 3D motifs featuring Fu character. The character for good fortune fu is sculpted as a three-dimensional brush stroke against a repeating pattern of the ancient character for ‘ten thousand’ wan, signifying a long life. Bats, homonymous with fu, surround the display piece’s central motif.
